The skiing area Schlossalm is the largest connected skiing area in the Gastein valley with its connection via the skiing area Angertal up to Stubnerkogel. Runs with more than 1,000 m altitude difference promise varied fun on the slopes - perfectly connected with modern lifts and cable cars. It is ideal for indulging skiers. Especially popular: the Hohe Scharte Nord - with a length of 8 km and a difference of altitude of 1,440 m it is one of the longest downhill runs in the Eastern Alps. The skiing area Schlossalm extends 860-2300 m above sea level. The Hotel Alte Post in Bad Hofgastein is a short walk away from the start to the skiing area.

This small skiing area at the end of the Gastein valley with the significant name Sportgastein offers much guaranteed snow! In the highest skiing area of the Gastein valley is where the athletic skiers meet, especially through the deep snow slopes!

With its long, difficult downhill runs, the Graukogel in the south-east of Bad Gastein is a real challenge for top skiers. The majority of the downhill runs at Graukogel are in the forest area, and thereby sheltered from the wind and allowing good orientation even in poor visibility.
